Sheet Metal Capabilities

Four ways we support the building envelope

Fabricated In-House

Anatomy of a coping

A parapet coping is a system, not a cap. Scroll and watch it build in the same order our crews put it on the wall.

01 / Blocking

Wood nailer first

Pressure-treated blocking, anchored to the top of the parapet. Every coping starts with a straight, solid, fastened base. If the blocking is wrong, nothing above it can be right.

02 / Membrane

Waterproof before metal

The roof membrane and base flashing carry up the wall and over the blocking. The wall is watertight before any metal lands on it. Metal sheds water; the membrane is the seal.

03 / Cleat

Continuous cleat sets the grip

A continuous galvanized cleat locks to the exterior face. This is what holds the cap against wind uplift: a full-length mechanical grip, not a row of exposed screws.

04 / Splice

Concealed splice plates

At every joint, a splice plate bedded in sealant sits under the cap seam. Sections can move with the temperature swing without opening a seam or oil-canning the face.

05 / Cap

Cap hooks, snaps, done

The coping cap hooks the cleat, snaps into place, and finishes with hemmed drip edges on both faces. The assembly slopes toward the roof, leaving clean sight lines and no exposed fasteners on the street face.
